pulled both axels out of that explorer in the pic, 8.8 limited slip, dana 35, got the dana 35 with my new 6 inch skyjacker coils replacing my bds, new steel braided brake lines, all that is in, next weekend will be the 8.8 swap

Looks pretty good!

I'm looking at doing extended radius arms myself. You're lucky you know how to weld.

Looks like you used stock radius arms and lengthened them? Thanks

Allen

yeah i cut my radius arms right b4 that stud was and i opened up the stud by cutting the weld that was holding it in, and put it in the pipe i used, welded that stud up and welded the pipe to the old radius arm.

sounds like the way to go. i will be doing mine sometime in the future and i think i will be following these guidelines...

Me too!

They look like they'll hold up well. How did you determine where to mount to the frame? How much longer are they? Did you measure where the axle/spindle was before and after the radius arms were installed? Sorry and Thanks...lol Good job!

Allen

I was just looking at your coils and could'nt help but wonder what kind and size are they? Thanks.

Allen

Harwareman> i did measure where the axle was before and after the radius arms were installed, i tacked everything b4 i welded it up to double and triple check everything was good, i decided i would mount my brackets inbetween the cabmount and the frame strengthener, i took measurements from the tips of the radius arms(cut) to where i wanted to tack them. i beleive the new arms are about a foot and a half longer then the old ones. would have to check on that tho

i just put those coils in while doing the swap, they are 6 inch skyjacker coils, i had the 4 inch bds coils before that

what you guys think of the snorkal i recently put on? actually i think this is the first picture of my truck i put on what do you guys think?

Looks pretty badass to me.

I could have sworn I've seen your Ranger on here before though.

Allen

nope first picture post, i havent actually tried that snorkal out yet, i want to get an electric fan first, and right when i made it and went to go out to try it out i busted my old dana 28s toy axel shaft like every other time i went out haha but no more of that

I am all for home modifications but I dont like the snorkel alot. I think painting it so it doesnt look like a coffee can on a pipe, would make it look alot better. I like the looks of your truck though!

I like the snorkel but i would have gotten black pvc so it would blend a little better. You should buy an ARB filter element and put it on top so you dont worry about putting a coffee can on and off.
