I've been tempted to get a Dakota.. since it's my name. But the gas mileage is too poor for me.

Depends, I was averaging 14.5-15MPG in mine mixed, dunno what it is with the turbo yet. FWIW my b2 gets the same mixed mileage, worse if I take it up in the mountains compared to the Dakota, and worse on the highway, my Dakota will do 18-20MPG highway.

My Ranger gets 18 on average. Hopefully that will improve once I get my new tires on, although the exhaust leak doesn't help much. I'm selling it anyway.. so it doesn't matter too much at the moment.

I'll probably either get a 2003ish F150 xcab or a Dakota crew for my next truck, although I do want to get a 1993/94 Ranger and swap on the front end of an 01+ truck.

So I finally broke down and bought an aftermarket radio for my truck instead of trying to find a factory one cheaper than $100.

I picked up this Sony from Crutchfield for $149.99. It has Bluetooth built in so I can stream music and make phone calls from my iPhone.

It is amazing how much better the stock speakers sound with this radio over the factory radio.
