My Truck Died

Ouch, I've only been on a flatbed once. It was with my 97 Dodge Ram 4x4. I got new wheels and tires installed (33's) and the dealer didn't torque the lugnuts properly. I'm driving down the highway the next day, and the driverside rear wheel flies off. All the studs were bent so I couldn't use the spare. That was fun times!!! The store that installed those tires got an earful, and ended up paying for all the repairs!!!!

How the hell do you have a warranty? I assume you paid extra for an extended warranty? My factory warranty expired back in March and I have an 06.

yeah, i got a call from the dealer, they sayd it starts right up, any ideas why?

im going in the morning with my dad to get it...if it dont start, ill push it to my house, and i hope you can tow it :D

yeah, its always depressing to see your baby on a trailer or a roll back. Mine has gotten the ol' piggy back ride 3 times.
Once when I rebuilt the distributor by myself and couldn't get it to start afterwards (I was young and inexperienced), again 6 months later to get home after the slave gave out since I didn't know how to speed shift at the time, and then again back in May when I accidentally gave the PCM power line a shot of juice off my power probe and cooked it.

Oddly enough, that was right after my HP pump gave out. Same break-down, I killed the computer diagnosing the pump.

Don't ask/laugh, all I had was my probe and some bad wiring diagrams to work with.

Pumps

My 88 Ranger 2.9 had a internal and external pump when one failed on the trail, after cool-down it started and I got home.

I eliminated the internal pump so I wouldn't have it fail on the trail, modified the pickup and replaced the external pump with a Holly high flow and carry a factory spare.

okay, i got it to the dealer ship, and they told me once again nothing is wrong with it...a guy i know told me that it cant be the fuel pump, because it wont start at all ifit was bad...i need a different idea for why my truck will run all day, die in the afternoon...sit all night, then start right up

Run all day, die in the afternoon, sit all night, run in the morning. Sound heat related - after it gets hot it won't run..once it cools down, starts right up. Is that correct?

itll run all day....still warm.. ill park it (like in best buy for 40 minutes)

came out to leave, it was completely cooled down. started backed out of spot, drive 10 feet...died

i got it back....finally...
with no solution to the problem.
so now my truck will sit in the drivway..all clean and purdy..for a while

Is that an FX4 by the way? Wait a tick...............no its not. I kid but back to the problem at hand. You need 3 things for an engine to run 1. Fuel (which you are getting) 2. Air 3. Spark. I am by no means a genius but the first 2 seem to be alright. I would check your coil pack and see if that is the problem. It is just an idea though.
