My Small Block Chevy Swap

hahaaa, nice brinker. well, I just bought a gtech, you should see if you can find one on craigslist or ebay and do some testing. they're not 100% accurate im sure, but if you could get a consistant hp # you could test it with and without the huge spacer? it definatly add plenum volume, but will it or how much power would it make would be interesting. snoranger know it probably wont compete with my 3.0L, but it might come close!

Never thought about that, great idea. I'll do some looking. I may have a buddy that has one. Now that you've given the suggestion, I'm really curious :D

Kick to the junk dude lol

No, no, no....no kicking the junk this time! Think about it, the 'right' answer is circled....ie; ford.

what's the idle rpm?

what's the vacuum reading at idle?

I've gotta do some carb tuning tonight I'll get you these numbers in a few hours. Working on putting a set of spring-lox in to try to eliminate the positive camber. Yes the shocks are shot. Any recommendations? I have a set of Edelbrock IAS shocks in the back.

I got the same reaction as you the first time I read it too.

Apparently when the old shocks have up on the front, the I-beams hit my oil pan, dropping the beams now and getting out the BJ Weld....I mean JB Weld

Um...shocks dont hold up your suspension. Your coil springs do.

Understood. As the truck sits, I have quite a bit of clearance between the oil pan and the I-beam. Apparently when my shocks gave out, they allowed the sprigs to compress more than they normally did. This was my thinking behind the issue. But I suppose saggy coil springs could also contribute.

I guess I'll try adjusting the sprig-lox to get the desired ride height to correct the camber then try to get a new set of springs that match the height set by my setup? Am I thinking this through correctly?

That's just a bandaid. You need to CORRECT the problem, not HIDE it. I have a set of leveling coils Im selling for $75.00 shipped. PM me if you want them.
