I got a 1994 Ford Ranger Splash,.automatic A4LD. It gets stuck in park sometimes whenever I get ready to leave. Brand new brake switch installed....What's causing this?

what about that soleniod that keeps it locked in park until brake is pressed? Ive always hated those things. try taking it out of park with ignition off.

Theres a sodered wire down there that grounds the brake switch. Check the connection/wire. I had an aerostar and expedition both do the same thing
