I would love to have an old stereo setup, but not in the shop. I haven't listened to FM in years. I think I need a Bluetooth speaker.

I use a old radio a little newer than the one you posted plugged into a free 19" tv hooked up to a $30 Roku and stream youtube or iheart radio.

Radio has a bunch of speakers I have sprinkled around the garage.

Scooter has this JBL boom box thing at work. Its seriously loud and has great sound quality. It's a little big if you were gonna lug it around a lot. But it's loud enough to drown out 3 CNC machines all cutting at once.

For the last 5 years in my shop all I've used is the stilly little Bauer radio going to my phone on bluetooth... how one 3" speaker does so much I have no idea but a battery lasts like a week, no real complaints so I haven't changed it... I do have a car stereo that's extra at this point and do have a plan to use it and a car battery with float charger to make a 12V power supply for various uses and stereo...
