My New House & Workshop

I don't care who you are... that was pretty funny.

I'd park mine in my living room and rename it the Ranger room.
We sold one of the first GT's(not Mustang, the mid engine supercar) to a guy in Vt. Shortly after he dumped his Porsche and had an addition put on his livingroom so he could park the GT beside his chair in the winter.

Anyone remember Dan Tanna and the original Vega$ TV show? I couldn't find a pic online showing it, but he parked his "57 T-bird in the living room.

Great house Jim, and sounds like you have big plans. For the ranger room, and being close to Dallas..you need this ranger

He had to, he couldn't get in our out with the top on so he couldn't leave it outside if it rained. I'm 5'9" and I hit my head on those cars every time.

😤 How did @Dirtman get my picture for that joke?

Don't hassle the Hoff!

So....

How's it going with the house,, Jim?

That looks about right ! Wish I had thought of it.

Wall's finished and the room is painted. Bedroom furniture will be here this week.

Washer and dryer has been installed in the closet that the previous owner converted to a laundry room. The doors won't close so I'm switching to sliding barn doors.

Everything I do snowballs. I try to do one thing and have to fix 3 other things in the process.

Today I was cooking something in the microwave and it kicked the breaker. WTF! Never did it before but it happened when it was 8 degrees out, there's 6-inches of snow, and the damn breaker box is outside. Reset the breaker and finished making dinner. I have no idea why it happened.

I want to get an estimate in the spring for the roof / ceiling work on the building that will hopefully become my garage. I dread it.

My breaker always pops when I use both of my microwaves at the same time, who designs this crap!?

Never seen a breaker box outside the house before though. That's just ridiculous.

And this sums up home ownership to a "T"

This gets worse the older the house is. Learned my lesson after buying a house built in 1897 and fixing things... oh my lord... tear into one seemingly minor problem and end up gutting the bathroom (true story). rinse, lather repeat for each issue.

The house I have now was built in 2002, and at least anything I have needed to replace in the last 10 years has been an off the shelf direct bolt/ nail in replacement... no weird resizing lol.
