Well while looking for a good donor for my B2 I found this Explorer on craigslists and was gonna use the engine, trans, and the rear end for my B2 but when I got the truck it looked sooo good that I hated to cut it up! So now I decided to keep it and let the wife wheel it. I only paid $500 for the truck running and all the electrics work! Just has a trans/clutch issue but that's it still runs and drives! And of all shock the a/c works! Here are some pics of it. It is a 1999 Ford Explorer 4x4. The 4.0 V6 and Manual Trans. Has 202,000 miles. Runs pretty good.

Not sure really what I am going to do with it yet but I will figure that out in time.

That's a pretty clean Explorer. I didn't know they still offered a manual transmission in the later 90s models, that's a pretty cool find. Clutch work is a long process but if that's truly all that's wrong you got a damn good deal on it. Glad you looked it over and realized it wasn't a good donor vehicle and are keeping it running.

Yeah I was set for the swap though, built a new dash out of diamond plate for my B2 and had it powercoated. I did that so that I could use the expo's cluster and everything and it would cut down on my splicing. I have read some things on another expo site and I read a write up on how to lift the expo 5"'s for $300 so now I am excited that I don't have to spend the $1000+ just to lift it. It is gonna sit a few months while I clean up some bills but come March or April I am gonna get this thing road worthy and let the wife wheel it. Maybe if taxes come back before my Gulches trip I will have it ready for the ORV park trip in March! :icon_thumby:
