i bought it yesterday. i already changed the carpet out. it was nasty. its a lil rusty but the cab is all good. i'm gonna merge this one in with the sas i've been workin on. i just got tired of messin with the body on the other one. my plan is to swap this cab down on the other frame, once i have it ready. still need drive shafts made. the build is in my sig. i'll probably start working on it since its warming up.

painted the wheels, and covered up the rust on the front bumper until i can strip it down and give it a good paint job. those are also 08(i think mirrors) i snagged on ebay

Those wheels look a lot better after you painted em. Overall, Looks good! I never see that body style with the STX package. And i would take that camper top off, it would look better IMO :icon_thumby:

thanx! yea the the wheels look soooo much better. i like the camper top, but it will come off. it will be nice when i go fishing/camping to have a cover over my head at night though.

i'm gonna paint the bumper and get a new tailgate, then i'm done messing with it until the swap. i just cant stand to drive something like that around when its too easy to fix. lol

i think it was rustoleum brand rim paint. i got it at auto zone. $6 a can. i used 2 cans between the 4 rims, then 1 can of the clear coat(same brand and it was for rims as well) for all 4 rims. they turned out great, and so far they held up to a pressure washer at the local car wash.

i cleaned up the wheels with an angle die grinder and the 2" 3m scotch-brite pads. worked really well, and went pretty quick. i had about 2 1/2 hous in the whole thing dried and reinstalled.

nice buy man! i did the same thing to my wheels and prolly used the same paint. it was like gun metal for wheels from the zone. lol i my oxidation wasnt too bad but it bothered me so i grinded it all off and sprayed them.

slight change of plan.. i think i'm just going to find a cab for the sas build and leave this as a dd. cuz you can never have enough rangers

cleaned up the rust under the doors and did a little 2 tone job with bedliner spray. i think its pretty tough looking. haha
