My little Iron Ranger {Part 2}

I doubt it. There's only an 1 1/2" lift in there now. Anymore and I'm gonna have even more clearance issues under the hood.

Page by page, I just sat in awe. Very nice build, i'm glad you have a workin' partner in the family. I have my dad, and my cousin. I hope to see in the future that 4x4 you want to build.

Me too man. Me too.

Glad you liked the build! If there's anything I learned from this, it would be that you don't need a boat load of cash to do something like this. Time, space, and skilled friends are all one needs.

Spoiler alert!!!

Well, my awesome brother brought the truck in the garage before our yearly late snowstorm.

I got to work and managed to remove the left side exhaust system and replace the nasty tailgate handle.

FYI, that is not plastic. That is 100% chrome!

And for the spoiler alert:

Now, for those of you who love to point out the wrongs(you know who you are... :icon_twisted:), yes, the tire is backwards, it's way too high, and there's no center cap.

1. I just grabbed A front tire/rim to see that it'll fit and such
2. It's on jackstands
3. Lugs/grease cap get in the way(wheel spacers will be needed).

Paul, what about getting another grease cap, and cut/weld it flatter so it would fit under the center cap, since you only need the front two, and it won't offset the front/rear track width...

The other thing I'm worried about are the stud lengths interferring with the shorty lug nuts that came with the rims.

I haven't had time to mess around with that, but I will eventually.

I know it'd be a pain to pull it apart, but you can get some shorter studs from your autoparts store...

If you have an old rotor laying around you can use that for test fits until you find the correct length...

Well, my bro took a look and we both think that it'll clear, just need shorter lugs and grease cap.

Well, got some more goodies in the mail! (At one point, the UPS guy asked me what the heck all these Summit Racing boxes were for that he keeps delivering.... :D)

And this is me doing some very tedious work.

It takes about an hour to do one tire WHILE keeping it between the lines. :shok:

FYI, that's my concentration face. My angry face usually deals with red cheeks! :D

Would you believe back in 92, I sit in a truck stop parking lot doing the same thing to the 6 tires on my truck, I had to use bottles of model car paint and a few brushes to do them, they didn't make them paint pens then, or at least I never seen any.

Nice.

I've been looking for some replacement headlights. Did you get these from Summitt?

Are they LED, and if so how do they look?

You're going to have to take some pictures when you have them on and working.

Nope, I got them off eBay. These units in other online stores are $329. There's a company on eBay that sells them for $165 with shipping. I believe they come in chrome(what I got) and black.

But you have to make sure you get them from the right seller. It took me 2 trys to get them.

I think these are them:

There are 5 LED's across the front of the unit. It's then up to you to hook them up to whatever you want. Either the marker lights or a toggle switch or to the blinker, whatever you wish.
