My idea of a Shelby Ranger if there would have been one.

I wish I could help you, all I know about ABS's it that if the light is on, that means the brakes are able to lock up, but still work, the one on my little broncoII was on, and I pulled the light out.

Mine quit once on the 89 and it was scary as hell in the rain.. I'd feel better with em working right...

Worked on the ABS issue last night... Girlfriend checked the fuses and some of the wiring on the ABS Module... No luck Fuses were good.

It could be the module itself messed up, but I'm expert on ABS, in fact i'm no expert on anything.

Do you have a Haynes manuel for your truck ??, you might find what you need when it comes the the wiring in it

I have one but it doesn't really say anything about the ABS system.. I am going to change the module if I can find one in my spare parts. all that would be left is the Rabs valve as far as parts go.. if it isn't that then it's wiring..

Is the ABS on yours where it has the rings on the front rotors, or is it like the one on my 89 BII where it's hooked into the rearend??

I would also check the sensors if it is the ones for the front, and if it's the one for the rear, could it be where it's a diffrent rear ????

I'm just spitballing here...

It is RWAL like the 89.. changed out the speed sensor but no change..
AWAL is 4 wheel ABS which woud have sensors on the front...

The same setup on the Ranger with RWAL is used on Ford, Dodge and GM. The only thing with GM if you change tire sizes or gear sizes you have to recalibrate.. Ford and Dodge you don't... It's made by Kelsy Hayes...

One of the two smaller ground wires on the battery terminal goes to the ABS the other goes to the ECM I think.. If that ground isn't hooked up it will cause the light to come on I just don't know what code it will throw...

Just got back from the shop where the truck is.. The windshield is installed!!!! Worked on the ABS and think I have found the issue... I think it is the module... Did some multiranger style testing!! I'll post up what I did if it works. It may be a simple test!!

A few pics coming shortly

We can wait multi. I know what you mean about slow internet. We've had the only fibre optic line that runs up here severed 3 times in one week. Not cool.
