My idea of a Shelby Ranger if there would have been one.

Nice! I've been looking at getting one of those Screamin' Demon coil packs for some time. If you don't mind me asking, where did you get it from and how much did it set you back?

I got it at www.underdog-performance.com It was less than 70 bucks with shipping... Cheaper than a stock type replacement at the parts store...

Screamin Demon update! It is installed. I am doing the full install in stages
Stage 1. Stock type wires plugs gapped at .54
Results: It idles the same it appears to have a little better throttle response and a little better pickup to 55 MPH. Nothing to write home about.
Stage 2 will be plugs regapped to .65.. Stay tuned!!
Stage 3 will be new performance wires and plugs gapped to .54
Stage 4 will be New performance wires and .65

Full report as I go.

Ok next I gapped the plugs to .60... I just don't see any reason to go further.
I am using Autolight Double platnum plugs.. Guy sold them to me at the price of regular plugs last year cause they didn't have the plugs that were on sale in stock... oh yeah i forgot to mention dude wrote the gap on the box trying to be helpful.. he wrote .044... should have been .054...

Results are It still idles a tad rough but it always has. It use to seem to have a slight hesitation when you tap the throttle.. that is gone and it seems to take less throttle to get up to speed...

More to come....

I only recommend the SD at this point in the test if you can get it cheaper than a "regular" one. (i was able to).. I just don't see it being all that so far... still have to get the new wires though...

Hmm... my price on a coil pack is pretty cheap. Not quite what I wanted to hear but I'll keep checking in on the other parts of the install to listen to what you say.

Honestly I think if the SD made that much difference in someone's 4.0 it needed a coil and that is why they saw the difference.... Mine ran really good to begin with so not much change for me.... I would like to see some MPG gains but I doubt that will happen either.. Not sure if you saw but last tank was a tad over 25.... I do have one more thing coming that should turn up the power a little more though...

Keep me posted multi.

that sounds like a power adder :D

whipple???

Carroll would be proud of this truck, and that is DEF something he would put on it! naws not so much, but i don't think he would be anti... i think there were a few shelby datonas with turbos on them, but i don't remember to be exact

Shoot man I wish.... I thought about adding it just for the show aspects but.
Not sure if you saw but I found a long time friend that knows performance mods.. He said a turbo would be an easy mod... I may ask him to help go forward with doing it... :icon_welder:

:yahoo: :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo: Updated injectors!!!!!!
Injectors.jpg

Installed the injectors right quick... The results of the test drive is this.. The rough idle is gone. I could sit a glass on the intake with it running and it would stay in place. As far as power It has way more now... This is money on parts well spent... The updated injectors for those that don't know have 4 small holes instead of one... Would I recommend updating injectors absoloutly!!! Here is the flow sheet that came with.. I have no idea what it all means but I know what it does!!!

Thanks Weezl! that is a very highly regarded compliment!!!! You are correct about the Daytonas.... some were just high compression 4 Cyls something like 9:1 I think

I'm prolly gonna get hate replies but IMO the Screamin Demon is nothing speacial... If anyone got anything out of it i'd say they needed it or the new wires and or plugs they also installed with it... Go with a stock one if you replace it if you can get it for less than a SD or get a SD if it is cheaper... It made a slight difference but a new stock coil prolly would have too... The biggest power adder so far has been the injectors...
