My fuel pump passed away.

In a pinch, I have used two ratchet straps to go from corner to corner, then used my cherry picker to connect the bed and then to lift the bed. Usually, remove the bed bolts off of then drivers' side and loosen the passenger side, disconnect the fuel filler from the bed and tilt the bed to the passenger side and block it up with a piece of wood.

Are you running your fuel tank really low? Fuel is actually a coolant for the in tank fuel pump. When I get down to 1/8th tank, I am filling up. Pumps these days are actually one of the better built parts now a days.

I keep at least a half tank of non-ethanol fuel. Very seldom does it get to 1/4 because it is not driven much. Lack of driving may be the culprit in my case.

The last few years had 10 bolts. Mine does.
While I still have y'all on the line, have you ever had a fuel pump strainer dissolve into the tank? Thanks.

I have seen this on a video once before but now it's staring me in the face. The deceased is a Carter P74628S. Strainer is gone. There were no fuel additives used and mainly non-ethanol gasoline. It's a third vehicle and was seldom driven. I'm thinking, pump the tank dry and go from there.

With a name like rum runner.. you oughta be giving that pump a pirates funeral.

Wrap it in a shroud, weight it, go out to sea, say some prayers.. and send her to the depths accompanied by 3 volleys of small arms fire.

Or alternatively...Did Vikings ever run rum?

Viking funerals definitely have the edge over a pirate funeral if you're a bit of a pyro..
I'm not a seafarer, but I did wrap it in vintage newspaper and seal it in a 1960's trash can-urn. For the volley, there is a .22 mag available, but the neighbor policeman might interrupt the proceedings.
