my first ranger

i really wanted it tucked in as close as i could to keep my departure angle and reduce the chances of it getting damaged should i hit something head on.

the 2x2 is welded to the frame horns, the winch plate is welded to that bar front and rear. ill be adding some supports before i really put it to use. the 2x4 tube is welded to the front horns as well, planning to add some additional support for the ends back to the frame. i also wanna run two horizontal members in front of the winch to add some protection and mount the fairleader to that instead of the winch plate.

took a few better pics of the bumper today and installed the cab organizer ive been saving for 4-5 years.

still a little unsure of what to do with the ends as far as wrapping the bumper around the side of the truck. ideas and input are welcome.

I would just box in the ends and leave it at that.

id wrap it around the corners adds a little extra protecton 2

Where'd you get that bag organizer? It'd be great for a standard cab.

i got it for christmas years ago but im pretty sure its a harbor freight special.

how well do the 33's fit with just the washer lift? thinking about going with a 33/10.5 once i regear.

just ordered 3" bl, new poly body bushings and some goodies to reroute the exhaust. ive stock piled new gears (4.88's), front axle shafts with c-clip elims, and 4" tuff country brackets. i will be ordering 6" skyjacker coils soon and stuff for the 63" chevy swap with bell techs by the end of the month. should be sitting on 35's before the end of september.

You can always do a double 45* wrap for your bumpers, instead of a 90* angle a 45 then two inches and another 45.

looks really good man!
i like the bumpers! simple but strong.

why u got a new bed?

the previous owner always had a dog inside the truck so it was full of hair, any way to get rid of the dog smell? ive tried automobile febreeze but the smell came back after a few days.

Sorry if I'm too late, but pull the carpet, spray it with resolve and use a scrub brush on it, then powerwash it. I guarantee that will work.

My truck smelled like s**t and nothing I did would clear that smell until I pulled the carpets and powerwashed them front and back. It really works that Resolve down in there and it has a deodorizing effect. Truck smells nice and clean inside now, its been weeks, and even with the sun superheating the cab the smell has not come back.

And by the way, if you saw the dirt that came out of my carpets when I powerwashed them you would be quick to do it asap.

PS Nice work so far! Like the fleetside, can't wait to see it with the lift and 35's

thanks. i got a new bed for a two reasons, good price ($100) and i wanted to go back to a fleetside bed.

rkneeshaw- i febrezed the crap outta the interior and used at least half a roll of duct tape removing the dog hair from the seats. along with some air fresheners, the dog smell has been removed. if i pull the carpets, itll be to bedline the floor and i wont be putting them back.

I'm assuming your tires are BFG re-caps? I've never seen a BFG a/t w/ that tread pattern!! For your bumper I would do the 45's around the corners for some protection . I like how your winch is mounted low and center. gives it a real custom look!!
