So this is my new truck. 1993 ford ranger regular cab. 4x4 4.0L with 5spd transmission. 3.73 gears all around with a LS in the rear. 290,000km on entire truck. 31x10.5x15 inch wrangler territory tires.
Took the ttb apart to inspect a clunking sound I was getting when I put it into 4x4. turns out the drivers side spider gear had some play in it. will need new spider gears eventually and get it done professionally so that they are shimmed correctly. Also going to need a different transmission eventually. 2nd is grinding and 5 pops out when driving down the highway, the clear coat is coming off and I plan on eventually repainting the entire truck in the future.
