I just wanted to get peoples thoughts on how ive done with my truck. Originally the last owner did no maintenance to the truck except when something broke and even then it was half a#$ work. Almost every part was still stock. I went thru the whole truck dumped to much money into it but I feel I got a good truck that hasn't let me down since I got it. Except when the transmission went and I couldn't find a replacement and not transmission shop would touch it cuz of how old it is. I put a new motor and transmission in that I already had so that's why I have a chevy motor in it instead of a ford motor and transmission. I can't wait to see how it drives with the new engine.
This is what I've done to it so far:
- 3 inch body lift
- 4 inch rough country suspension lift kit
- 33x12.50r15 general grabbers
- new steering gear box
- new brakes all the way around plus cables
- new front wheel bearings
- new sky jacker shocks
- 2 inch add-a-leaf springs
- dual battery set up
- surround sound stereo system from a 93 ford show with two 12 subs(
- swapped out the 2 piece split drive shaft for a single one piece drive shaft
- swapped out the old ford 4.0l 4x4 a4ld for a Chevy 305 with a 700r4 4x4 trans.
- new wiring harness(which means I rewired the entire truck)
Still in the works:
- push bar with 4 off road lights
- bed mounted radiator with heavy duty piping
