Yeah cutting and rewelding on beams has its down falls... But theres ways around it.

I have no experience with the super lift steering. From what I can see, its incorrect in many ways. I guess the only benefit is that it allows the tie rods to work independently.

I always vote for swing set steering. Its cheaper than the super runner kit. Works 100x better.. Its 100x stronger. and.. Seriously, simple.. Look at my truck.. I bought a swinger for $150 from Kel Fab creations to take the head ache out of setting up the system.. Took me a few hours to set up and I'm around $550.00 into it.


I've always thought, if I have something apart. I'm going to do the best thing for "it" that I could afford..

I wouldn't mind cutting and welding on the one's on my 88 Ranger to get it lower and not have to spend a lot for drop beams.

But to each his own, I haven't lifted lifted a truck, but I am curious, why does a d35 have to be shorten when used to replace a d28? I thought the frames where about the same from the BII to the Explorer, I Know the rear leafs are the same distance apart.

Just the driveshaft has to be shortened.

I wish there was more info on the swing set steering on TTB axles. It looks like the best setup, but at the same time always confused me. Also looked pricey to set up correctly.

Never mind, I thought I read where someone said the "Axles" had to be shorten, my mistake.

I understand the Drive Shaft part.

OH well, back to the build, which reminds, I need to work on mine sometime.

i have a confession for ya robert...

i aint worked on mine either. just preparing myself and gathering parts mostly.. lol.
now that the motorhome is sold, once the ex gets painted; my focus will be on the 8.8 then the d35. but i start school again in a month. man this summer has flown by..

Theres only one way to ge working on her and that is to start and have a no turn back moment...kinda like what I did. Did I have everything no but had enough to get the axle under the truck.

I understand, so much to do and so little time, seems to be the big thing for me now a days.

I don't have a problem with time, it's just the Heat this year is kicking my butt, if it would have heated up slowly so I could get use to it, I wouldn't have a problem, but we didn't have a spring this year, just winter then summer.

I'm past the point of no return on my Ranger, just heat is the biggest problem.

But I am getting most of the parts gathered up, I just got my full engine gasket kit, soon I'll be getting my trans master kit.

I'm also keeping my eyes open for a good set of seats from Pull-A-Part, can't beat them on the price of seats 25.05 each.

Heat doesnt get to me, I have a fan that blows enough air that you dont notice the heat until you arent getting the air blown on you.
