I got home from work tonight, and the snow has finally melted of my 97 ranger, so I can finally show off the truck.

I bought a bone stock red regular cab 2wd ranger 3.0l with around 200k on the clock almost 2months ago. The truck had been hit in the rear of the bed and needed a ton of fixing or a new bed to be fixed properly, so it was a perfect project for what I am doing to it.

Within a week I had skyjacker leveling coils (temporary) and nitro shocks on the front, and taller leafs in the back (no lift blocks) Then 33" mud terrains and wheels the next week. Two weeks before Christmas I called up Fiberwerx and got flared fenders and bedsides. As soon as I got them, it went for body work, and then paint. As you see, the truck is all black now.

So the plans for now are:
302/331 stroker- T-5/TKO 5 speed- Built 8.8 (already have explorer axle and building as we speak) long travel front suspension- deavers and long travel shocks in the rear- roll cage in cab and rear bedcage- finish making my tube bumpers front and rear.

This is being built as a race truck thats street legal, not a DD thats raced. So I don't think I am doing too bad consider I have had it since December and I have a small budget to work with. I am still waiting for a good day to take some actual decent looking pics.

Looks pretty sweet especially with that black paint job. Keep up the good work.

Looks good. Cant wait to see some action pictures with you catching some AIR!!!

or better yet a video!

It doesn't look right. It's not a prerunner unless it has white fenders and hood.
:icon_rofl:
I know what your saying. I am going for the "pro" look, not the "this is all the money I have" look like the other guys.

Damn, that looks good, if I ever do a 2wd I would do something along those lines.

I finally got around to taking pics with the newest of the wheels and tires, plus comparing a stock ranger with a guy at work, side by side, to see what I changed in the few months since I bought it.
