My 97 2.5 SFA Ranger

I also tried to fix the crushed rocker panel today.
Ben (escort_gts) seems to think it looks "good as new" haha.

It will work till the sliders go on in the next few months.

haha sliders are over rated... Nice build BTW. I love the quick disconnect air fitting idea

Thanks. The guy with the big blue ford was running the same setup and I "stole" his idea.
Edit: I just noticed that I didn't post any pictures of the "big blue truck" lol.

I'm probably going to have Kyle M. help me with the sliders.
I hate living in an apt, having nowhere to fab stuff sucks. :icon_welder:

I might move my rear axle forward and run some chevy leafs in the rear so I can swap over to 6ft bed. All of the 7ft beds around here are rotted out and expensive.

Lockers and sliders are coming soon. Then it's on to making it spring over, putting the chevy leafs in the rear, and custom bumpers.

Good luck with ORTOTM, it seem like you have it in the bag.
Maybe I will get runner up so I can try again next month. :icon_cheers:

Im jealous you are near other Ranger guys... Only Jeeps by me!

You could always bob the bed, if you're going to cut the frame, do it once. My truck was a regular cab long bed too and now Im running a 5 foot bed. I want to run XJ leafs because their center pin is offset so I would run the short side to the rear and will benefit my departure angle. The Chevy leafs are just a bit too long for my liking (I got hung up on my last Moab trip and bent them) they sure do flex well though!

Thanks and good luck to you too, get second and you'll be in it for next month!

I got bored today and painted the bumper trim. The faded gray/purple crap was starting to bother me. :shok:
My friend Brad worked for TranStar and got a bunch of paint/undercoating for me, I've had it sitting around since early fall and figured I would put it to use.

As soon as I started to remove the masking tape from the front it started pouring rain, by the time it slowed down it was getting dark.

I will get better pictures of the front tomorrow.

Wow, makes the rear bumper look new. Wonder if it will work for mine with all the dents and scrapes? Lol

Mine had/has dents, scrapes, and gouges from the PO of the bumper.
I paid 20$ for it, so I can't complain.

The front turned out ok. It has a few spots from the rain.. Oh well.

The "not so pretty" side.

The Sunday project.
Get the 78 Mustang II that I was "conceived" in running. It has been sitting since 2000.
The engine is a 302, it's stroked, with aluminum edelbrock heads, holly carb, and a nasty cam.
If I remember correctly, it was running 11's in the 1/4 mile.

Great build dude! I would love a 4x4 2.3/2.5! With a 4x4 2.5 your truck is probably as close to one off as you can get!

This should be here on or before Friday.
Chances are I will take it out after my offroad trip if I don't like the way it handles on pavement.
