It looks like a good base. Any type of body mods or mostly just mechanical. What business allows you trick out a Ranger of all things? lol

Keep us posted, most V8 swaps are gen I's and II's.

I am a locksmith and I own the business. Alot of guys out here use trucks for their locksmith business and I have a van but its got over 200K on it and needs a new engine so I am going to use this Ranger to replace the van while its down getting a new engine. The Ranger will get a snug top or a tonna cover and wired to run all my key equipment for making keys.

Ok this is what the engine looks like that will be going in the Ranger.
Its 100k+ mile freshened up 89 5.0l engine with a ford F-cam,GT40p heads that have
been milled .030 5angle valve job with crane conical valve springs, GT40/Explorer intake,
70mm T-body & a 76mm mass air.I have built this combo before for mustangs and it makes about 340 crank HP.This should be a fun ride when its done.

should be one badass work truck

When lowering it, don't forget to account for the weight of your work equipment. You are dropping it 2 inches, but how much will the rear sag with your equipment in there?

With what I am going to carry it shouldnt be very much.I am not going all out with the locksmith stuff.Should be under 150# of stuff.

So when are you diving in to the project? What type of van you use?

Don't go making either vehicle jealous of the other now! lol

Ok I bought this truck for my business and have lots of plans for it.
5.0l conversion w/AOD
Explorer 8.8 rear
13" cobra front brakes
lower 2"
front valance with fog lights (factory one)
Bed shell or hard tonna cover

This is to name a few things.

I'm too lazy to click the links.

Looks good though :icon_thumby:

It's easy, just put [ IMG ] imagelocation.jpg and poof! Picture (don't use the spaces between the brackets though)

OK here is a little update with my project. I have a mock up engine in the truck so I can clearence any thing and everything that needs to be done to make this asfactory looking as posible.I am using the FEAD off of a 98 Explorer and using the valve covers for maximum clearence to the a/c box. I installed the L&L motormount kit and mover the trans cross foward to fit.Looks like I wont have to modify the a/c box as the valve covers are very short. Here is a couple of pics of the mock up engine and trans sitting in the truck. OK damn it I just cant get the pics to show.

If need be just email the pics to one of us.

Or since you are using Photobucket, at the bottom of the pictures there is three boxes with different [ ] click on the one that says IMG, then paste that into your post.

The code should look like this when in the post writing box.

[*img]http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n14/fordmike1/My%20cars/MyCars003.jpg[/img]

The * is not suppose to be there, I put it there to show you how it will look.

And the result is this.
