My 91 Ranger the stRanger

Installed the new tranny crossmember and radius arm brackets today. Changing rear dif. fluid, and installing a temperature gauge tomorrow. Lift is getting installed next weekend providing the auto hobby shop is open.

sweet man....looks like you will get done before me! lol

who knows when I'm actually going to be able to install this lift... I caught a nasty flu the day before thanksgiving and put me out of commission for the weekend. 4 days off and no progress made. suckage.

I got tomorrow off so bright an early I am beginning the lift, locker and gears in! Hopefully I don't hit any major speed bumps...

well worked ten hours straight on it with no breaks today. I got the locker in the new pig, the front entirely disassembled and the lift brackets installed today. Basically all I need to do is reassemble the front now. The rivets kicked my ass today, what a pain, and also removing my old diff took about a hour, soooo much rtv was on that thing. Pics coming soon

dude you called me at 1 am.

and the rivets are mainly a PITA cause of their locations, just be prepared to have some patience on your hands

Hit a couple problems today. First was the u joint clamps on the front drive shaft. My hardware for the original d35 the screws are to short and thin to thread into the diff. No auto store had anything that would work and I wasn't sure if I could just unbolt that flange.

Then the biggest PITA was the brakelines. I got the replacement brakeware lines as showed in the tech library. The passenger side worked fine, however the driverside has 2 brakelines going into it at the top. I attempted using a t fitting to join them all together but they would not stop leaking out of the t. So I just threw my old driver side brakeline on. Does anyone have a solution to my driver side brake line problem?

i usually drill the holes out on the yoke and use u bolts....get the jeep u bolts. waaaaay better.

I might try doing that or going to pick and pull tomorrow and see if I can find a exploder with this yoke. I just do not understand how 2 d35s can have identical yokes just different holes. Very frustrating.

Awesome dude! Nice prerunner stance :headbang: Wish I was able to see it in person and see WTF is going on with the brake lines...

Make sure your alignment is legit before you tear up your front tires too. Also get some coil retainers so you don't pop the coil out when you go wheelin. You get the pitman arm swapped too?
