What happened to the clear corners?

I busted one out a few months ago at the park and I didn't feel like ordering more so I threw on the stock ones. I liked it better with the clear corners, but oh well

Well after a long 2 days of driving and moving I am in Albuquerque NM. Saw lots of awesome looking new terrain to go out and crawl. Being at 5000 ft elevation sucks the power though haha

Jellous! Tons of places to wheel, great food, and mountains close by! Wish I was there!

Time for a bit of an update. Ive been in NM about 1.5 weeks now and its pretty nice. The mountains are awesome, I forgot how much I love it. It actually looks a lot like Afghanistan here lol. Any way I went exploring today at an area called Rio Puerco. Its a combination of BLM land, and private property, but there are miles of trails here. Its a mix of dunes, slick rock, and canyons. I was just solo exploring and didnt get into anything extreme mostly sight seeing and taking photos. I will hit up the rocks next time when I have a buddy. Tomorrow I am heading down south with a club to Gordys hill for some real wheeling.

And today when I was driving back from Rio Puerco, I see a white ranger with some writing on the window hidden partialy behind a fence. I flip a u turn and take a closer look. I found a 1991 single cab, 2wd, 4.0l, in excellent condition. I made an offer and he took it and now I have a new DD. I am going to pick it up tomorrow after wheeling. The engine is 10,000 on a new rebuild and is super clean. The whole outside is pretty much immaculate for a 91. All it needs is a headliner, and a new muffler. I might throw some clear corners on it, window tint etc. But thats it. With th dunes out here I need to avoid turning it into a pre runner haha, no more projects though:shok:

Bed is basically done. The circle track car plastic for the sides worked out great. I cut it with some pneumatic shears and that worked awesome. They are not perfect but pretty close for my first try. And when they get scuffed or destroyed, its about $10 to replace on whole side!

where did you get it for that price?

i use it for inners(which been out for a few years:icon_rofl:), but my rci guy wants 4 bux a foot for 18 in wide stuff...or maybe 16 in rolls..and thats for the thin stuff in rolls not the flat thick shit.

when i make my front fender tubes i want to use sign grade. certain troopers get on my ass...not in my state but pa and ga are picky. the stuff for signs is like 3/16. likely need a heat gun to do what i want

look above my bumper inside the tail light...is yours thin like that?

my fillers for bowing the fenders

i had deflectors made from it too for driving in the mud with the doors off....way way back:D

be nice to get that shit cheap.

popping the front clip on and off led to leaving my inners out on the front and i have vynil type pull ups to keep the goo off. also gets my hinges filthy all the time...

i would love to make some fender extensions for 30 bux instead of 100.......:icon_thumby::icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

hook me up

overall evaluation of the tire carrier? do you you miss full bed space?

great build all around:icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

Here is the exact stuff I used. 22"x25'. 1/8 inch thick. It comes in a roll and it's pretty easy to make it do a radius like a fender extension.

My old tire carrier worked good, the only thing I didn't like was it blocked a lot of the rear view. When I had a bed I didn't want it horizontal to take up room. But with the flat bed and the tire mostly horizontal I have full rear view. I haven't missed the bed yet, it's nice not worrying about it, having the tank out of the way safely, and I have a lot of options with the custom bed. I am probably going to use the rest of plastic and fill inside of it eventually.

Time to turbo it :thefinger:

That's one of the big things I remember from our trip to Yellowstone, my truck having no balls in the thin air.

Yeah and they sell 86, 88 and 91 gas here. Sucks

anyone interested here is a link to the plastic

well i called darren today and i misunderstood the 4 dollar a foot thing...

i feel like a dumbass after all of this time:sad:...few years now. i was telling him about how i wanted a roof setup that fit under my headache rack etc so it would be easy to stop and sleep going to florida to work etc...but for that i was actually planning canvas...he was under the impression i wanted plastic. whoops. i buy stuff from them...got my 6 blade tire siper etc from there and lots of circle parts and bought 4x4 blem sheets etc to build lil bobs gocart body...didnt know they came in 4 foot rolls as well.:dunno:

i wondered about why you did not make the tire rack adjustable when you did it and should have asked before, and surprised you dont have alternate options for the tire now as well. its the suck of running big tires on something that is street driven.. often i only carry a smaller spare when just commuting. generally it stands up at the cab on the drivers side to maximize visibility. but that is literally a tall order for a 37.:D

i want to do tube fender in the front similar to the flat bed. but i want thicker plastic to fill it out...

respect that place and have fun out there in that beautiful vastness and be safe. looking forward to your future creations.:icon_thumby::icon_thumby:
