I have put 20k or so on mine and beat the hell out of it on a few occasions without failure.

well im happy to hear it wasnt the double after all. Just seems like all I ever read about is problems with these doublers. Glad it wasnt the case.

Rbv doublers are relatively new to the market so theres always going to be more reports of problems or something because people haven't learned and are always making threads to ask. Plum hasnt had any problems brays problems are all because he over filled and got an early model width a low vent or something. Only one ive seen that had consistent problems was kage.

I know a few people have had the bolts holding the clocking ring to the adapter plate come loose, but loctite and a helicoil solves that issue.

My plate is a one peice design for that very reason. Its a total pain in the ass to assemble, but I don't plan on pulling it apart very often. Also my design requires a lot more clearancing for bolt heads, which could be difficult if you dont have access to a mill.

not to thread jack....but, I got my doubler from Josh (Josh40601) who DD'd it...and the only issue he had was a real slow leak....other than that I haven't had any issues in the almost year I have had it...

but, I only trailer my Ranger to the trails now....so that is just with me wheelin once a month....and even though it is liscenced and insured, it has only very limited road use...maybe 100 miles total

Been working slow on it this week, I got the fuel filler made, floor panels made and painted it. I just got my roll of 1/8 inch plastic for bedsides. Its used for circle track cars I guess, so I am going to give it a try. I wanted to use my old bedsides but it just didnt pan out. I am moving next saturday so I have a lot work cutout for me.
The laundry list includes:
-make bedsides
-reseal doubler
-service tranny, oil and diffs
-check front axle bearings and re lube everything

It doesnt read like a lot but I am a one man show and it always seems to take 3x longer than what you estimate.

Bed is basically done. The circle track car plastic for the sides worked out great. I cut it with some pneumatic shears and that worked awesome. They are not perfect but pretty close for my first try. And when they get scuffed or destroyed, its about $10 to replace on whole side!

ruffstuff's trick tab welded onto the tubes, and I just put some 1/4'' screws through into a nut

Yeah that is pretty $$$ though. I got 25 feet of plastic for $35.

I am trying to work out my storage. The jerry can is staying there, and I bought a baja bin awhile ago, and a quart crate. I dont think I can use the baja bin though because if I permanently attach it to the floor, I cant unwedge my spare. I am going to try and figure something out though.

Instead of the tire being under the tubing why not make a mount to have the tire on top of the tubing for more space underneath and use a set of bed rail tool boxes for storage? Any way the truck looks awesome!

Center of gravity, rear view, and its a bitch to lug a tire up that high.
