My 91 Ranger the stRanger

So in hindsight how did the Duff setup work for you? Was there a particular issue with it that made you decide to change the suspension setup?

The duff setup has been great, if I was doing a milder build I would keep it. Going with coilovers for a more tunable and controllable ride. After Moab I wanted a better riding suspension.

Keeping the radius arms up front, the duff coil brackets and coils will be going. The rear is getting 4 linked and the skyjacker springs will be going.

Let me know if you want to get rid of these parts.

If you want them I’ll sell them to you. You’ll just need to get the traction bar bracket and some type of radius arm setup and you’ll be good to go for a solid axle swap

Yeah let me know what you want for them. I have a set of 79 bronco axles that I will be doing a swap with duff parts, so might as well save with some used stuff. I'd probably get the rear springs too as long as shipping doesn't make that a bad deal

Ok, it may be a couple months until I get it all taken off. Shipping on the leafs will be really expensive, I’ve shipped a set before and it was pretty pricey. Where are you located?

ship to 29301 in South Carolina. Depending on price of the coils and buckets maybe I'll just get those since those can probably fit in a box that doesn't weigh too much. I have the engine swap to worry about first so I was waiting on axle swap parts till early next year anyway.

Sweet!

Glad to see you're still wrenching and wheeling the Ranger. I'm starting to get annoyed that I haven't found a house yet in the DFW area to start building a new one. Maybe I need to just make the 9-hour trip to Albuquerque and hijack yours while you're on the trail. LOL

Haha I know exactly how you feel in the house hunt situation! I wish I had a way bigger garage than I do! If you ever come through Albuquerque let me know!

Well I have been working a bit more on the tailgate project. It is mostly finished, just some minor little details to add to it and paint. I am trying to incorporate a fuel can holder on the inside and then I want to add some pieces on the sides to cover the small gap.

I have been waiting on DOM for over a month now from the local supplier here in town and had to cancel the order because they kept giving me the run around on when it would arrive. It was supposed to be delivered within 14 days, 30 days later still no tube, they lost our money and we have reordered and used Barnes4wd this time. Hopefully it gets here soon and we can start linking the rear.

Also I am looking to get air bumps, does anyone have a preference of fox or bilstein for bumps?

Here is the latest video we made, this is a review of the gauges in the Ranger.

We went out an off-roaded the ranger a little this past weekend. The plan was to just cruise the desert, shoot some guns and do some light crawling. I ended up breaking my crappy radiator mount and punctured the core of the radiator. I ratchet strapped the radiator in place and we drove it out back to my house. Temps never exceeded 210 even with a big hole in the rad. Video coming this weekend of the breakage.

Is it me, or do the "O" and "D" on the tailgate both look like a D?

No it’s not just you lol. The original Ford stamping make them look nearly identical except the “O” has some rounder edges on the left side. Once I paint it and put the new lettering vinyl on it will look better
