My 91 Exploder

Love the bumpers. Look like everyone had a good time.

bumpers look great..think i'll do my rear like that, but w/ a swing out carrier kit

nice work on the bumpers. i'm sure cutting all that with the angle grinder was a ton of fun lol.

Looks good buddy!

It wasnt that bad. Im a mad man with a grinder. Its all Ive ever used. lol

Is that Cherokee running Mickey Thompsons or Maxxis? And what's he think about running them backward?

There MT. Dont really know what he thinks of them never asked. Fronts are going on way and rears are going the other. lol They seem to work pretty good though.

Managed to bend a leaf spring pretty good.

Now got to get some leaf springs swapped in and finish up the front bumper and a few other little things by this coming weekend for the URE trip.

you remind me of me so much its scary:icon_surprised:, cant believe i had not kept up with this. it did not take me long to figure out a locker and v8 power with a d35 was a stupid idea......though i am very surprised you are not on 60's, i put that on ever developing mad driving skills.

as i was reading along i was shocked you had not done this several times already to the rear springs. with those long shackles you want to make them triangle so they at least try to ride up shit before destroying the spring. or just get some boomarang type deals... personally i would go shorter shackles in the rear and lower and skid the front hanger and adjust the axle perches

once your hitch was gone it should have been done as part of it...especially when ending up with high clearance bumpers. i always wonder why more explorer guys dont do that...

or run some coilovers with your new 60's:icon_cheers:

good read this thread, and some very interesting video. i like the chevy on 44,s peg leggin early on. thanks:icon_thumby:

your bud with the cherokee, did you drive his rig enough to compre your thoughts on them?

i particularly like them in box stock form.

Did a little more work on the bumper Saturday. Almost finished with it. Got a little more grinding and welding to do and wire up the lights. Also took the roof rack off.

nice, i think i like it better with the rack off

looks good.

what are you running for rear leafs?

how come the explorer guys never run the chevy 63's? from looking under mine it looks to be an easy swap.

I've actually been looking into the 63s just havent had time to do them yet. Haven't ever seen any explorer guys running them. Don't know why really. But explorer and ranger springs are swapable so I would assume you woild just have to move the front mount forward 6 inches like a ranger and they should work.

Right now its stock explorer leafs with a shackle.
