My 88 Ranger 4x4

Yeah trust me they are completely worth it, I have 3 good ones that still have about 25% left on them and I know they have close to 50K on them. the other one got messed up by a bad wheel bearing... But they get through everything amazingly and I could climb some really steep hills with no problems.

Thanks! I love your truck! Is that a snorkel I see? What truck is that for? or did you make it? And is there a place you can buy those things you got on your headlights?

i made both of them the snorkel is pvc and the head light covers i made from plexiglass and held on with velcro:icon_thumby:

Awesome, now I want them even more, lol. I still got probably a year or more left on my BFG's though, so I'm gettin them when I'm down to like 20-30%. I got probably 70% on the BFG's now.

Now don't get me wrong, these All-Terrains are pretty good, they wear decent, and are okay off-road, but I wouldn't trust them to get me through something serious... I mean I got stuck in a little patch of sand before with these lmao, but I was only in 2wd, so i popped it in 4x4 and pulled through.

I love it man. Your truck look amazing. I love the color for when I do mine but 250 a gallon is a lot of money for me right now :(

Thanks! Yea I just washed it and I realized how good it looks without dirt all over it lol. I wouldn't have paid that myself either, I got it as a birthday pesent from my dad because he was tired of looking at the flat black and primer lol.

Okay, so this Sunday I'm going to the junkyard to shop around for a new engine... I'm hoping my dad will let me get a 4.0L, but he doesn't really want the hassle of putting in a different engine, because he's helping with the swap. I'm trying as hard as I can to convince him, but I might get stuck with another 2.9L.

But don't worry, whatever it is, it's getting MegaSquirt and a turbo!

I just got a FREE 8.8 rear end from 93 4x4.
He didn't have the ring and pinion but I got a ring today from the junkyard and I'm going back tomorrow for the pinion and a mint set of taillights. Maybe an engine too lol.

And thanks again, 93 4x4!!!

Now I just gotta get the pinion, maybe some blocks, some U-Bolts, a newer driveshaft, maybe that junction thing the lines go into, and maybe a new set of shoes..... Anything else I need to do the swap?

Got the pinion today, now I think I just gotta put it together... Not sure if I'm forgetting anything...

Oh, and I read somewhere on here that a Mustang flange will bolt up to my stock driveshaft...? Its this correct?

I might just be better off drilling one of my 2 flanges (I have a backup one in case i screw up) because I may switch to the 1-piece shaft in the future and I won't have to swap flanges then.

y did the thread die?
