Well guys.. i fixed the slipping tranny problem!... almost I bought a bottle of Lucas transmission fix and poured it in, works almost like a charm now! Just need to drive it some more. the more i drive the better it gets, but i may need another bottle. I also need to take the passenger side wheels off... it has the shiney alumanim ones.. and i only have those 2...but i do have 4 black steel rims. So those are going on. I also took the two end lights off the pushbar. put in my CB and a cassette player. Now i need to find a drivers fender... the one on the parts truck is TOAST im going to try and get some F-150 coils for the front of my ranger to level it out... and.. I need to decide on a name for it

Well F**K truck did the same thing.. puked its tranny fluid out all over the ground.. the transmission is getting really hot too fast... Someboy tell me how to fix this WITHOUT dropping the tranny?

Well guys... i gots me a new tranny... AND A 4l!! meby more. I'm trading my old black ranger for some stuff at the junkyard. I'll see if i can get the tranny and engine installed there. since i dont have the proper tools

Well, im getting my tranny today. hopefully i can have the shop install it to. I put in a cheapo CD player that i got out of a mustang up the junkyard and started some body work... I'll psot pics when i get home.. i didnt do too bad of a job on the bed... just needs some touch ups This was my 1st time ever using bondo.. And.. I'm making this into a pre-runner... I would like to find out where i can get the shocks,leafs,shackles,etc for as cheap as possible any info would be nice! I'll probually have atleast 5,000 to play with by the end of next summer so... yea.. Anyways, I'll post pics when i get home

Yea Yea i know the body work isnt the BEST... but im not going for looks right now, im just trying to get it able to pass saftey inspection. Its going into the shop tomoro hopefully to get the tranny swapped

Well... the junkyard doesent have my transmission out YET! I think i may just forget them and sell the black ranger and BUY a transmission... WHO the HELL takes almost 2 weeks to take out a transmission!?!?!?! should i stick with them and wait a few more days or... tell em off?

I would stick with them for a few more days. But, tell them that's it, if they don't have it ready for you by then (give them the time/day) you'll walk and find one somewhere else.

Wells I'm hopefully getting a tranny on Saturday. I found one in Mabou for $150. its a 5spd standard out of a 91. Comes with everything i need to convert my ranger back to a stick shift. I'm also getting the drivers fender, driver floorboard, and hopefully a manifold. All for around $190 to $210 one question. will a 2.9L 5spd mount to a 4L transfercase out of a explorer?

Well HOPEFULLY i may have found a good parts truck and tranny donor.... 90'2 explorers 4L 5spd new winter tires and alloy rims. Here is what the guy sent to me in the E-mail [i think he needs to slow down on the typing ;P] "hey man i just seen ur add i got a 1992 ford exsploer think its a 4 liter i have the hole truck it works but the rubber bushin in the lil black box on the peddle is gone so the clutch isen workin but the home trucks there 4x4 works wicked i used it for hauelin stuff outa the woods foue brand new winter tires on aloy rims to iff u think it will fit yours give me 100 dollers an u can take the hole thing" So.. if anybody knows whats he's talking about please do tell me, and how hard it is to get/replace and do you guys think its a good deal? I think it is i just wanna get my ranger road ready asap its sitting... collecting dirt,rust, and squirrels. So tell me what ya think

Sorry for the lack of updates, been dealing with family stuff. Like moving and that. Truck is in my yard now and tomoro i'm getting my explorer. I've got $200 to my name which is just enough for the truck and to cover towing. gunna put on my big Heavy Duty bumper tomoro... if it will fit..., the bumper came off my 1978 Chevy Scottsdale. It looks like it will fit but idk.. May have to do some work on it for it to fit. And i may be getting some new rims. time will tell.

Well today was a sucky day Found out the guy sent the explorer to the junkyard So now im on the hunt again for a decent parts truck... if anyone lives or knows anyone in the sydney nova scotia area who is selling a tranny or a whole 4x4 rbv for $150 let me know!
