So here is the 87 as of this weekend! Things are going well with it! Passed the Referree without any set backs! The shop that did the test stated that if he didn't know any better he'd think that motor belonged there! It also passed smog perfect too! So now she's legal to drive again!

Along with the 4.0 swap I also painted the bronco! Here are some updated pics! I also gave the bumpers a new look with some gloss black to offset the white!

I still need to get the drive shaft lengthend, the rear shock mounts need some moving for proper travel and I've got a set of Bushwacker Fender Flares to put on! The list is getting closer to an end! However the project will never be finished i'm sure!

And now for the good stuff:

Here are a few shots of the updated Explored Interior! Dash, seats, and center console!

And the 4.0 in its new home!

Hopefully I'll have some offroad and in action pics soon! I'm dying to get out and see how things handle with the 4.0!

As always thanks for viewing

Cheers

That is one of the cleanest SAS I have ever seen. Ive never seen a bronc 2 interior look so good either. I havent read your build up but did you do a ranger dash swap or do the broncos come with that setup also?

As far as the 4.0 swap passing emissions perfectly? Thats braggin rights right there.

Wow that is nice. If its on the road...may I ask where they let you have tires sticking that far past the fender lips?

Well I'm in the North Bay (Santa Rosa) California! During my intial trial runs of the SAS I was pulled over while on my way to the trails... was only told I needed the mud flaps! You can see them pictured in the first picture above! I was shocked the CHP that gave the fix it ticket didn't say anything about extended fenders... :shok: however to play things safe I am installing a set of Bushwackers soon!

Unfortunately I don't have a build thread on TRS...... The Dash is out of the donor vehicle... 1993 Xplorer! I more or less just swapped everything from the EX into the Bronco! Complete wiring harness and all! The only thing I actually had to modify were the fuel lines! The 4.0 fired up and ran flawlessly the on the first start up! :icon_surprised: And yes, Generation 2 bronco II's do come with the same Dash! The swap was alot easier than I had imagined when I decided to do it! Having a complete donor vehicle at hand really makes the differance!
Thanks alot for viewing! Appreciate the comments!

Looks great like always Nemi, definitely like the new all white paint job. It will look perfect with those black fender flares on there. Hope to see it driving around town soon! :)

Hey thanks Norcal!

Have you been driving the ol EB? I think I've seen it out and about a few times?!

Also... unless your in Santa Rosa you prolly wont see the Bronco much.... Wife and I bought a house in Rincon Valley over a year ago!

Cheers bud
