Anyone got a nice rust free hood?

.

That looks like a nice truck. That truck isn't a 79 though They quit making highboys in 77 so Its probally a 79 body on a 77 chassis with a 79 HP d60 front in it. I would be pulling the front lift blocks out if I was you. I have nice rust free hoods if you need one. I'm near Pittsburgh PA. $150 for a hood

Thanks guys it is actually a 75 Chassis with a 79 F350 running gear & body. NP435 & a 429 in the barn. Was sitting quietly for 16 years, pretty well kept.

I was looking for a 79 Dana 60 KP, HP & the guy had one. It was attached to the truck, he would not part it out so I had to get the whole truck:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

It was an old school monster truck on 44" Gumbo Mudder's
Those are just the free rollers. I have a set of 38.5 TSL's
& a set of Cepek 40" FC II's. for the dunes.

I am just getting the engine together as we speak 475 - 500 hp range. Anyone ever put a ZF 5 speed into a Highboy?

Edit: Do they ship hoods on Greyhound? send pict.

How about loaning me those axles when you get your 2 1/2 tons ...... so I can dump the crappy SLA on my Chevy ......

really beautiful body, i like the rest of the truck too. thats the kind of bodies ya find out here in the southwest. but the red paint would be gone real quick in the sun. but please don't tell me that's a "for sale" sign in the window, how could ya give that up? or maybe it's just a " help wanted" sign. beautiful truck man, my favorite year.
