My $40 paint job! :)

So how would I prep the fiberglass cap?

EDIT- I forgot to ask can you still polish/wax satin rattle can finish?

When buying your spray bombs, check the codes on the cans to make sure your getting them from the same case.

You should be able to prep the cap the same, maybe leave some extra dry time for the thinner after you wipe it down since the fiberglass can absorb some and make the paint bubble.

Mainly, you just need to scuff the surface to give the paint something to stick to...

No :stop: do not wax a satin or sateen finish, the wax will get into the tiny pores of the satin finish and when it dries will leave a permanent haze to your finish. Satin is half way between gloss and flat, that is why it gives a sheen and not a glossy reflection.

Any pics without all the protective stuff on (newspaper, tape, plastic bag, etc)

Yeah do you have any pictures of the assembled truck?

And also, how do you protect the paint without using wax?

you just wash it, i wash mine with dishwashing soap, but mine is my own chemestry of paint, no rattle cans on my truck, ive also found you can use the spray detailer for paint on flat black and it doesnt haze it.
