I'm not educated in turbo-ology, but 4 turbos under one hood is going to show a few ricer wannabes whos boss!! That's going to be insane!!:icon_thumby:

heres the new progress theres no reason why it shouldnt be running tomorrow. The hotside and new downpipe is done. Just have to tap the timing cover for another return line and hook up and cold side.

So wait, let me get this straight. There are now two turbo's on the exploder? Dang man!

But I have to ask, why?

I have to ask why not? All the parts were free and just laying and its only taking me a day to upgrade so why not?

"I must not turbo my daily driver exploder!" "I must not turbo my daily driver exploder!" "I must not turbo my daily driver exploder!" "I must not turbo my daily driver exploder!"

You're making this look too easy.

I experimented with compound turbo charging but it wasnt working as good as I hoped so tomorrow Ill just Y the compressor outlets together into the intake. On a good note nothings leaving so thats good.

I must say, you are truly gifted in your turbo profession. All those tubes and turbos and more tubes:icon_confused: to combine into something that cranks out the power and still fits under the hood:icon_idea:. Great job, man!!!:icon_thumby::icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

Are both the turbos the same? if they are why even bother with the tube connecting the two pipes together. Run one turbo for each side.

Ya Series won't do you much good. Looking forward to seeing the new piping.

I've got a question: What clutch do you have in there and how is it holding up to a boosted 4.0L?

The 9" centerforce dual friction I've got in my ranger hasn't slipped at all and I'm pushing 16 PSI (probably better than 300 ft-lbs) through it. Even though it's a 10", the clutch was always one of my concerns with a boosted 4.0.

Hey couple questions for ya

1- what did you do for the oil return line?
2- What are you doing for a MAF?
3- Are you just swaping injectors and doing nothing else?

Thanks! I have a turbo from a 2.2 volvo just sitting here and I have been thinking about doing the same thing, just don't know what I need to do as far as fuel goes.

Yeah compound turbos are typically 2 different sizes, small one for fast spool and a bigger one for high RPM boost.

Actually your thinking of sequential turbocharging not compound turbocharging. I got them to spool today but there spooling a little later than i want. I may throw some mitsu te04h 13cs on there soon which are direct bolt up.
