So I sold my 97 Ranger that I was using for my daily driver a while back and picked up the 2002 Sport Trac.

Being that I can't leave anything alone....here is how it ended up today

Its got a 3" body lift, 2" torsion crank and extended rancho shocks, and rear shackles. I also swapped my detroit locker in the rear. Just mounted up the 35x12.50 MTR/K's today on some procomp 15" steel wheels.

I've gotta pull the inner fenders back a bit but everything clears so far other than that.

Very nice! Been looking at them for a while now and want one badly. What yr did they swap the rear axles from solid to IRS? How is it off road now?

2006 was the changeover year. Looks great, Keep it up and you'll be following my footsteps, lol

Now that looks bad ass! I have a friend who hates sport tracks and I think this picture could change his mind.

I can now say I'm driving the only one like this in town haha.

No idea how it is offroad...it won't be beat on very much. Once I get my bike rack mounted up to the back of it it will mostly be used for shuttling for downhill mountain biking.

Kind of at a crossroads with mine. Did the V8 swap, but the motor is pretty well worn. I've got a fresh motor I want to drop in along with supercharging it, or I'm thinking of a 4BT swap. I'm sure you'll get the urge to swap motors soon, lol

Actually surprised that it isn't too terrible with the 4.10's and 35's

Nice! I've been wanting to do a SAS and make one of these a family wheeler for I while. Pretty bad ass and not many around.

I would like to find a decent looking ST with a blown up engine for a nice project. Gen1, drop a 4.6 manual in it.

That could be fun.

my ole man has one just like that. wants to lift it up a bit but doenst want to spend 1600 on a kit for it.. how did you get 2 inch ot of your torsen bars? i have his cranked just about max and was lucky to get the vehicle level

Sport trac's have number 1 torsion bars (stiffest) My stock bolts are bottomed right out and I installed the extended rancho shocks that are in the tech library article. Could be his bars are more worn than mine...

I've got 2.5" lift shackles out back and the body lift. The front is at least 2 to 2.5" higher than stock with the stock keys cranked.
