So about a year and a half ago I threw two rods through the side of my 2.9 in my 92 ranger. I didn't care though, I had a low mile 4.0 ready.

I pulled the 2.9 and A4LD and it sat until a couple months ago. I totalled my lowered 96' Explorer so I had a 5 speed :D

Got the swap done in a weekend.

Specs:

1992 STX 4x4
Dana 35 / 7.5 rear 3.73's
Pacesetter headers, Thrush welded to dual side exit
No lift with 31's

Next mods are a Explorer 8.8 with a lockright and a front locker. 6" lift and hopefully 35's (truck will almost clear 33's and it's stock height).

Here's some pics....

I recently set up a exhaust flame thrower.... It's dumping too much fuel right now so you have to rev to about 4.5k to get the fuel to spray out of the pipe. Heres a video :D

the flame throwers are too friggin cool...... i love flamethrowers. i wanted them on my ranger with the same style exhaust but never got to do it

How did you route that exhaust. I had a total failure one time when I had made that. My main problem was getting by one of the leaf hanger.

I need to get one of these to drive by the occupy portlanders here in Oregon to cinch their hairs ;)

Mine goes under the frame about 6" in front of the spring hanger :)

How hard was it to camo the truck? I like what you did with the truck.

Thanks man. My father did it free hand with the Camo colored Krylon from wal-mart. :)

Nice gotta love those Walmart paint jobs lol and what size lights do you have on your rollbar?
