Id like to introduce Mater the ranger he is my 91 ranger i picked up at the my neighbors house for free about a year ago it had a blown up 4.0 ohv with only 68,000 miles. i put a used rebuilt motor in it last winter and its had zero problems since, witch actually surprised me because it blew up in 2013 and it has sat buried in the weeds and bushes until i got it. this is my first truck i cant quit drive to school yet but i can next year but for now i got an agriculture license for work. the reason i call it mater is after tow mater in the movie cars because when i first saw it it looked like a rusty old pickup but upon closer inspection i can find zero rust. the other reason i call it mater is because it is getting a home built flatbed next spring.

thats the only picture i have on this computer ill get some more and post those tonight
the truck is pretty much stock other than i stuffed some 31x10.50-15 under it and ive got a jvc stereo and some Walmart speakers if you are wondering about anything else let me know.

Wow, that's quite the find for the price of a used motor! Bed looks in good shape - why switch to a flatbed?

thank you and the reason im switching to a flat bed is because what i use it for it will be more useful and i also just like the look of them.

its been a bit since i did any thing to the truck but ive done a few things recently i put some air shocks in the rear to keep it from squatting with a spare tire in the bed

i also threw a cheap muffler on it for now but its going to the exhaust shop Friday to get a good exhaust done on it

Great to see a youngin' wrenchin' on a truck instead of glued to PS5 - or whatever number they're at now.

Missed your first post, so welcome to TRS. Really nice looking truck too.

thank you and yea not many kids my age know the difference between wrench and ratchet but can tell me every thing about there game station.

My neighbors lil boy always called my truck mater and wanted to play on it.

Screaming deal for sure. Does your neighbor have any other free rangers sitting around.

round here you just got to keep you eyes open while out for a drive and you'll see them peoples yard and if you see one you like dont be afraid to knock on there door and ask about it that how i got my 87 for free aswell

Well as with my other truck i haven't updated anyone on it in awhile but i also Haven't done much with it due to running out of money lol but i did do new headlights and taillights. The headlights are for an explorer so some of the adjustment screws didn't line up but i made them work the taillights on the other hand were a project. They are for a bronco 2 and if you know how their taillights are vs a ranger you know the problem i ran into which is that lip on the top. But in the end it turned out nice

Also as you can see in that pic the truck finally got a 4in lift i still need to get it aligned but it works. Now after the lift i can fit bigger tires so im on a hunt for a good set of 33s but no luck yet.

I've been planning on getting those headlights. They've been sitting in my Amazon account for about 9 months now. lol How do you like them?

They are pretty nice except the thing that you lock the bulb in the back with is junk it breaks when you try to put a bulb in but i just ended up using a little black rtv to hold the bulbs in

been way to long since an update but i also haven't done anything new for awhile but some recent things i did was rattelcan the wheels black and got some half bald 33s for 100$

and a cat delete because it is legal in my area and im doing 3in all the way back with flowmasters will update whe that happens and i get enough cash

It is not legal in your area. Emissions are a FEDERAL law, that means it applies to any US state or territory and it is a federal offense to do cat deletes.

If you do it please do not post about it here. Forum rules do not allow discussion of emissions tampering.
