I got this from my Grandpa, sat for 7 years as he gave it to me and I finally got it running. Has alot of power for a v6. It is my first vehicle with a clutch, I got used to it already and it is alot of fun to drive. I am actually pretty happy with the ride height, seems taller then most rangers I see on the road, a bigger tire would set it off nice. I also plan on cleaning the underside and paint. I am thinking of some future suspension mods possibly so make it similar to the High Rider height. I also want to get a roll bar that was similar to the High Rider. Has a limited slip rear which is nice, I can't wait to cruise the trails when I get bigger tires.

Nice man we have similar rangers lol. Check out mine sometime!

Very cool to see you've got that one going!

Best of luck to you with that old truck!

that looks like a good start of a fine trail truck you have there. may want to consider the washers under the coil lift in the front and so a throw a set of cheby lowering shackles on it and go from there..

It does look a little higher than normal, Im guessing its got good springs under it that werent beat to hell. Maybe it sat with an empty gas tank?

If you want highrider height, do this. F150 front springs and retainers, this will give you about 2 inches, and exploder leaves in the rear with 30 dollar autoparts store 2 inch drop shackles. This will give you approx 2 inches in the rear and room to clear 31 inch tires. Check out r1hatmans truck for an idea of what you will look like. His is 83 but basically the same as your.s

The rear has a set of factory blocks, and that is exactly how I want my truck to look. SWEET!

I got two rear rims and 4 235 75 15 tires. Drove it home in a blizzard today and wow, you really feel the difference from 205 75 15's. The potholes no longer eat me up haha. The bigger tires also make my truck seem to float.
