My 04 single cab

Thanks man, and I like the stepside too but I found a super clean fleetside so I may have to go back!
Nice job and nice clean looking truck but it's a flareside and the other box is a styleside. Stepside and Fleetside are Chevyspeak and we don't use that kind of language here.

Thanks and yes, I always get the terms mixed up but Im not a die hard ford/hating Chevy type of person. I just like my ranger :)

I don't hate Chevys, I've owned a bunch of them and a Chevy would be my second choice of a vehicle, the comment was a joke.
The government mandated using GM terms to describe engine control components under OBD II, Ford's had EGOs(exhaust gas oxygen sensors) and HEGOs(heated exhaust gas oxygen sensors) before O2 sensor was mandated, for example.
A pet peeve is calling a limited slip a "posi" in a non GM vehicle. Positraction was GM's trade name for their limited slip rear end- you know, the one the GM guy replaced with a 9 inch Ford after he got sick of it breaking.

Ah I didnt realize you were kidding around lol but Im hoping I can find a 8.8 LS with either a 3.73 or 4.10 soon to swap in

what seats did u install?

They're out of a Subaru Impreza. In the video I posted I go into more detail about them

If you're going to keep running bigger than stock tire, or if your area is hilly, go with the 4.10's.

Thanks for the advice!

Well just got finished with Part 2 of the DJM 4/5 Drop series Im making. Took a lot of time to clean up and paint the front end parts Il be reusing.
Also cleaned and painted the frame and calipers. It always bugs me putting new parts on an area that looks like crap. Next up is reassembly!

Finished up Part 3 and the last part in the front end refresh and djm install

Turned out great and love the quality and fit of all parts in the kit. Took my ground to fender distance from 32 inches down to 27 inches.
I assume the added 1 inch drop in the front was from the coil spring spacer I didnt know the previous owner had installed. Probably explains why
the truck rode like crap.. I always thought it was because of the body lift but Im sure that didnt help either. On to the next project Im excited to start, a little tailgate custom.

Busypees, you do nice work.
I'm following your build, since I have a similar 04 Edge.

Here's another vote for the flareside. Sure, you lose a
little bed space, but they do have a cool look.

Thanks for following the build man!

The flareside is nicer especially with lowered trucks. But, and this is going to be a bit of a foreshadow, with the front bumper I plan on using the fleetside looks much better. Im still a couple months away from even touching the bumper I have planned but Ive literally had it stashed for a couple yrs.

Been working on a new project Ive had stored away a while. Ive seen this done before a few times and have always loved it. Frenching is an older gen tailgate skin into a new gen tailgate.

Below are some progress pictures, I also made a video showing the way I went about doing this project. Im sure theres a lot of ways to do this, this is just the way I chose.
