I remember seeing photos from the '40s, '50s and '60s of around here (cars lined up to get from the upper to the lower peninsula). A lot of cars had deer attached to them during hunting season.
What makes it so different from then? Yes, many more people have trucks and SUVs now a days; but every hunting season I pass a lot of trucks with the tailgates down and the deer laying exposed for all to see (atleast from behind).
