I'm pretty sure that would just be like the little Toyota campers like that. Some company buys them and converts them. To my knowledge, the camper part is not built by ford.

That would be badass converted to 4wd, and a v8 swap!!

Thats a conversion truck done by an exterior company to Ford, usually they buy cars right off the assembly line and modify em, and resell as a camper, or whatever, an older version of Conversion Vans. =P

I've seen pics of these, did a quick search on the ranger station and came up with nothing. IIRC in the article I read, they were like the Sherrods where if you bought the package the dealer would sub out the camper build.

The conversion company could have just used a Toyota axle to get the duals, but I doubt it. Or maybe somebody along the lines had a Yota axle with a more desireable gear ratio, so they swapped it.

conversion companies usually have a contract with around 2 to 5 companies, and split the sale by who donates what for which vehicle. In this case: Ford and Toyota, and maybe Casio or Sony for a TV.
