I have a 93 4.0L ranger and I want to stick out by getting a new muffler. Im leaning towards a glasspack because they're cheap and sound pretty cool. I either want a Thrush or Cherrybomb. I was searching videos and found a 99 3.0L with a cherrybomb, and it sounded awesome, but it was a 3.0L and I dont know how different it would sound compared to my 4.0L. I also dont know what dimensions I need either. Any suggestions?

I had a Thrush Turbo on my Explorer. It sounds pretty decent. I really think it would have sounded great with a Thrush Welded muffler though. They are like a Flowmaster in design. They run about 35 dollars a piece.

I absolutely LOVE my flowmaster Super44. I have single 3" in dual 2.5" out with 3.5" silverline stainless tips straight out the back with hedman headers. It sounds amazing. Then again, I have around $400 wrapped up in my exhaust with having it custom mandrel bent and welded etc.

I have the Thrush turbo on my 2.9 with no cats and it sounds awesome for a v6.

so what you're saying is the turbo is only 35 dollars? if so, im about to get that

The turbo I got was about 25 bucks at Autozone.

i have a manifold leak thats getting fixed here soon. i actually like the stock sound of my exhaust but i want something louder. but how do i know what size and inlet/outlet to get? just take the measurements from my truck as it stands or what?

IIRC it is 2" in and out.

I just measured my 88 ranger exaust and it IS 2" which I am lead to believe that most rangers are just that

I like my 4.0 in my B2 with no muffler...
