1.) Sorry for making a lot of posts. If you don't know, ask. Right :icon_thumby:

2.) I found these on craigslist: http://bloomington.craigslist.org/pts/1089982800.html

I've talked to the guy and he said he'd take $400 for the set. Does this seem like a good deal? I assume that they are the correct lug pattern, right? Are the tires a decent set or would I be better off buying new ones? Is there anything in particular I should ask him?

My father and I are, if everything checks out, going to see them at the end of this week. He's had the ad up for quite some time, so I'm wondering if no one is interested or there's something up with them that's turning people away.

The wheels by themselves new would cost you $400, and they should clean up nice. The lug pattern is probably correct, from what I can tell the Wranglers up to 06 used the same bolt pattern as the Ranger. Assuming that you're running stock wheels now the 15x10s will be much wider. I'm running 15x8s with a 3 3/4" backspacing (AR Outlaw II style) wrapped in 31x10.5 tires and the outside of the tire is about even with the fender flare. I think since the backspacing is about the same those will stick out atleast 2" past the flares, assuming that your truck has flares. I also think those tires are to small for those wheels, they'll work but I'd go bigger when it was time for new tires.

Tires look worn out and the rims need to be cleaned and polished not to mention they. Are over priced I'd offer 250 max. They will fit your truck cuz the ranger and the wrangler have the same bolt pattern but seriously even 400 is a lot for them

Just saw pics of your truck. Personally I think they would look a little wide with that size tire installed. It would really depend on what you want I've seen some bad step sides lifted with wide tires and they looked great. If you were planning to go that route, I'd consider getting those wheels if you like the style, then wrap them in bigger meat when the time comes.

I was thinking the same about the tires but didn't want to say it because I really couldn't tell. Yeah if the tires are as worn as they appear I'd agree with trying to talk down. To me the price didn't sound bad if the have "lots of rubber left" as the owner claims, since you'd be looking at 3-400 minimum for decent tires. Apparently the owner doesn't realize it's not the "lots of rubber" that counts but "lots of tread", last I checked you ran out of the latter way before the former.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm still looking around for rims, I've just seen this ad a lot and was curious. I won't know any specifics until I see them (if I decide to even bother).

And I do agree that those tires are a bit too small for the rim. If anything I would upgrade to a bigger tire eventually, but I was hoping that if I did decide to get them it wouldn't look too goofy.

I haven't decided if I'm going to replace my stock rims (16x7) with a different aftermarket rim of the same size or go 15x8/16x8 and buy new tires too. I guess it all depends on how much cash I start to get into.

Brand new MT rims were about $125-$150 last I looked. Tires are bald, I wouldn't offer more than $250 like fordboi said.
