I was wondering if there are any gas tanks that fit between the rails behind the rear axle or if it has to be a custom job ? Wanting to change this before I tackle headers and dual exhausts .

Also BII tanks can work, but they need a skid plate since they hang below the frame a ways.

Why do you want to move it?

I want to put true dual exhaust on . So I have been considering dual cats for a 2.3 and coming out just ahead of rear tire . I would just as soon not run the exhaust anywhere near the gas tank . All this is just ground work so far the only thing I'm sure about is the JBA stainless ceramic headers the rest is speculation .

I, personally, would get a custom unit made and get a fold down plate setup.

That is so what I am doing if my Ranger ever needs a new tank.

I just saw on Trucks powerblocktv . They did a project Rolling Thunder and they used a place call Ricks Tanks . Just not comfortable with supplying the dimensions due to my habit of inverting numbers which could make for a very strange looking tank !

Son of gun . Just opened the LMC catalog and on page 102 gas tank for Bronco II should fit the bill and can get straps and all parts needed . Problem solved !

Dunno if LMC is selling them yet but there are companies out there selling plastic B2 tanks, polyethylene composite or something like that. I put one in my B2 years ago when it rusted out.

Would be a good upgrade for the long run, and a flexible tank is a plus.

Okey Dokey Mr.UrbanRedneck if you have one where did you find it @ . If you don't mind me asking . I sounded kinda cocky with that whole problem solved statement . That one problem solving item opened up a whole can of worms such as fuel door , wiring , fuel line . But its a start and can be dealt with while still using ole blue as a daily driver .

Apologies to PlumCrazy

I just saw your post and didn't figure out what you were referring to until I saw the LMC catalog . Right you were sir !
