Tennessee!!!! Knoxville to be precise. i just found the house last night and I have ajob interview on Monday. Woo hoo. But I had to sell the ranger to get up here. I couldnt afford to transport it, Now im in the market for another beater 4x4 ranger. But I love Tenn state. I have been waiting along time to make this move. Who else is in the area?

Unfortunately I live across the entire state from Knoxville. I'm over in Memphis; better known these days as Memphis.

My youngest son is starting college at UT Knoxville this fall, so I'll be able to get to the "peaceful" side of the state occasionally. In fact, I'll be over that way in two weeks for his summer orientation.

Im originally from florida...all my life, except some time in Bragg, nc and the Desert. But otherwise all florida. I love tennessee always have, i was working for SWIFT Transportation and they have a terminal in Memphis i thought about transferring. However I heard that Memphis/Nashville some other big name City's werent quite as clean and peaceful as East Tenn. we love it here though Im 10 minutes from what family i have up here (Sister Uncle Etc.) So that works out. I currently drive my 2000 mustang or my 4x4 Expedition. Id love to have made the 10 yr anniversary run but without my ranger I didnt feel right plus its too soon after the move.
A meet and greet for some of you will have to wait til after I get settled and working with some time off. I need to make some extra money and I still have a trip back to floor-it-duh in order to get the rest of my belonging. Im waiting on my second interview with Goodwill for management of one of the stores up here though. Either way wish me luck and notate my name. Maybe we can arrange the meet withing the next 6 months.

Figured I would come to this thread & welcome you to the Volunteer. I think there are several places to get your tires muddy over in that area, but I don't know exactly where they are. Good luck to you & the wife settling in!

Congrats man. My wife and I want to move to Tennessee, but I won't move until my kids are out of high school. I want to be somewhere just outside Knoxville.

Might I suggest Maryville which is south of Knoxville. Very nice. Or if you want more rural, look into Friendsvile. It is west of Maryville. The 'burbs of Knoxville are good too. Powell, Halls, Gibbs.

I dont have to wait a month or so. I love it. I visited last year and we knew we would move here eventually, just took some time. I am already in a house in Fountain City which is pretty much in knoxville, about 10 minutes from downtown, 10 minutes from powell(where my sis and other family live) 10 minutes from halls.

Wait a minute Jim!!! I thought you already lived in Tennessee. Shows how much I paya ttention. Anyways I need a good 4x4 with a blue oval on it. Preferably v6 or 4 banger. if yall see any 500 dollar rat deals let me know.
