Hope all is well out there!!
getting ready to establish motor mounts on to this K member (custom fab mounts) and started thinking about vibration elimination as opposed to a hard mount to the K. I had purchased a poly Trans mount for the toploader support and was impressed by what appears to be a "stout" piece. So now I'm wondering if I were to incorporate 2 of these pieces into the custom motor mounts if they could handle the "motor abuse" too??? No response from manufacturer so I'm puttin' it out there to the "real" experts! Thanks

They say you're not suppose to mix those up.. meaning transmission mount polly and engines rubber..or vice versa

Thanks Joe. Are you aware of any science or application of that theory? Looking at these things, it just doesn't seem like rocket science.

I would suggest going all poly or all rubber. The rubber motor mounts allow a certain amount of flex, but the stiff poly trans mount refuses to flex as much & could cause the trans mount to crack or break. The engine & transmission are bolted together as a solid unit & should be able to flex as a single unit under torque.

poly works well ive been using these for about 6 years in a offroad race application. they have various year and engine combos on the site. sounds like you might have installed a 302/5.0? im pretty sure they have the right ones for you highly recommend em!
link is just an example..

Thanks for the replies. Both are appreciated. Actually I did (am in the process of doing) a 408 Cleveland. Looks like I'm goin with solid motor mounts.
I've decided to install "hard" rubber (70 durameter rtg.) pads between the mounts and the k member brackets. I think those will pair with the poly trans mount. Not perfect but a little better.

Yeah if you do rubber mounts and a polly trans mount.. youll more than likely break the transmission tail housing
