motor mounting bracket on the block

looking from the front of the motor, the mounting bracket on the left side, their is a small screw hole that is right behind where the bracket mounts, any clues as to what goes in the spot would be appreciated, i am finishing up my rebuild and i didnt do a very good job tracking what went where. it is an 87 ranger 2.9 L
 
I think it may the a ground wire from the altenator
 
I'm not sure about the 2.9 but it's a ground wire on the 4.0 if you're looking at what I think you are.
