As from the title it says MOPAR, i have a 98 caravan, what a POS that is, the thing has 106k on it and its falling apart, last week the wife blew a brake line, replaced both rear lines, thats shit parts, my rangers lines are great and its 8 years older, not the starter went out on the van and it has a rust hole where the strut bolts to the body, I will NEVER buy another MOPAR product again, this is my 2nd mopar product and the 1st one the f'in rear axle(it was a shadow) fell off the MF. Just needed to vent and ask a question.

The rust hole on the strut tower needs to be fixed and its rusted through and i dont want the strut to pop through the tower, what would be the best way to fix that. Thanks for the help guys.

Sounds like it needs to be sold to the scrap yard. I go $11 per 100# this last Monday. You ought to get $350 for that Caravan.

For what it's worth, my brothers family has a '99 and my wife's parents had a '96. I think you must live in a place that eats them at an unusual rate. Neither of the two had any rust problems.

I have never seen a strut tower on a caravan rot out, liftgates, rocker panels, and wheel lips rot out pretty quick on them though. I work on a fleet of them where I work and they all rot out in those specific places

yeah i live in the rust belt here, the van has life left in her, it only has 106k on it, dont wanna scrap it cuz 350 will not buy a new van, never again will i buy mopar, shes gonna get a ford next time, at least it will not fall apart

No... it's Mostly Odd Parts Assembled Randomly...

Rusted out strut towers are a very common problem around here on that model. I have seen a few with a steel assembly that fits around the top and extends down the sides but don't know where they came from, looks almost like a factory made part. My suggestion would be to get some sheet metal and have at it with the welder. good luck.

i was not looking foward to that, but i fear that is where it will end up, ill look around for those support things, should be able to find it online if you can purchase that, not gonna get my hopes up. thanks guys
