Most common rub areas?

I've measured and measured and measured again, and I'm pretty sure I have room to fit a 33x9.50-15 completely stock... I know I'll have to do some inner fender relocation and trimming and whatnot... Is it mostly the width that's the problem? I don't see many guys on here with tall and skinnies, I could see how a 33x12.50-15 would rub the radius arms and whatnot, but going with a 9.50 tire should alleviate that, or am I totally wrong? I, of course, do plan on going with a small lift (probably a Duff 2.5" lift with AAL, and spacers to boost it to 3/3.5")... This won't happen until the end of September though... My question is, I guess, what is the most common point for 33" tires to rub on our trucks? I have the fender clearance to fit them in, and will be fine once I do some inner fender trimming, I'm just wondering about other things...
 
I know on my stock ranger that was a 95, 31's were tights bone stock, fit with no rubbing, and with 6'' of lift the 33's run only on the radius arms on a 16x8 with 4.5'' back space, but they are 12.50 wide.

Yeah, I'm thinking by going with a 9.50 tire I can alleviate the radius arm rubbing problem, and I think the only spot I'll rub at ride height is the front side of the inner fenderwell and that's only at full lock... Once I do some inner fenderwell trimming I think I would be fine. Once I have it lifted 2.5-3" I think I can actually put the suspension through some movement and not have any problems...

Edit - 31x10.50 would be no problem at all for my Explorer...

That seems to be my deduction also... I think with a little trimming I'll be fine with 33's and 3" of lift...
