I spent this morning with a couple of relays to make my Bronco II's radio stay on after the key is pulled and until the door is open. Here's the link: http://www.the12volt.com/relays/page5.asp#drto
It's pretty neat and so far I enjoy it. The only thing I found different was that my door switch was + instead of - so I used a third relay to switch it. Just thought I would pass it on :)

Hrm, how hard was the wiring? That sounds like a cool idea.. Most new cars and trucks are this way.

It wasn't bad at all as long as you stuck to the diagram. I just pulled my wiring harness from my radio out and spliced the relays in there and ran a wire to the door switch with the third relay. I left that relay in the dash near the light switch though as with just the 2 behind the radio it was pretty cramped. Overall it was pretty easy.

the other alternative is to wire it straight to the battery of somewhere in the fuse panel

That is a neat mod. Thanks for posting it.

wow, theres a lot of good info on that site. thanks for sharing.
