Morgan's 2004 Ford Ranger Build

talked to kevin at ruffstuff on my way home from evans (thanks again evan for the spare 8.8) and he said its only the 28 splines with the ABS ring that make contact.

well i scored another 8.8 for my mock up. 3.73s with limited slip. gonna be getting rid of it cheap in case anyone wants it.

also got my GT calipers

No problem man! I'm happy to get rid of stuff whenever I can and cool to find people who can use it!

Who's front pre runner fenders are they and what is flare extension. 3 or 4 inches? Great truck I am following similar path with my 99 splash 4x2 body std cab 5spd.Final plan is a 289/302 with C4. Just got back my 8.8 LSD 3.55 from my media blaster. Which will switch out the factory 7.5

pretty sure mine are 3in.

it hurts my wallet but its too much fun to stop!

got some amber covers for the floods, not sure if i like them or not..

new uniballs and bushings showed up, thank you BTF for getting these to me on short notice. steel braided brake lines also, from a member on here.

and an updated pic :D

Doesn't CA have vehicle inspections or does it just coincide with the registration? I don't see a window sticker like most states have.

nope its all tied in with registration stickers that go on our plates. doesnt pass inspection, doesnt get registered.

replaced the uniballs, upper arm bushings, and front brake lines today. uniballs were super tough to get out. sam at 3B racing helped me out with his press since he was around the shop anyway. while the truck was pissing me off the CJ got some dd attention which i loved as usual. one of the uniballs required some heat to be pressed out. this melted the misalignments, not a great thing to have happen on a saturday afternoon when your truck needs to get you to work on monday morning. a run up to ruffstuff saved the day, but i should have bought 2! thought only one misalignment had mushroomed but turns out the bottom one started to collapse on the inside as well. my dad and i reamed it out to make it work till it can be replaced hopefully this week. after being heated up and drilled out itll break eventually. replaced the front lines with steel braided ones.

few pics, camera was dead so crappy cell pics is all i took lol.

pep boys said they couldnt align my truck due to their alignment guy not coming in, then some toothess dude down the street told me to come back on moday, f that, so firestone was having a sale. $150 for lifetime alignments on one vehicle. i figured that the second time i need one it will pay for itself, so twas worth it.

did the chevy 64s on saturday, took all day, ran into some problems drilling out the rivets. in the end it was all worth it. the truck rides great, havent had a chance to stretch it out yet. ended up with 3 of the half ton chevy leafs and the smallest leaf from my explorer pack. no overload. still have to go back and paint a few things. she sits with a little cali lean now that i took the blocks out.

(new corners)

possibly in the fall ill grab another set of 64s and build them with the ranger and xj leafs ive collected and have them arched a bit with a shackle flip.

Whats the ride like? I hate how my SJ ranger leafs ride

rides pretty smooth considering theyre half ton leafs on a quarter ton truck. they feel a bit stiff at times but i can feel the added travel when going up stuff, (so far only driveways, its been less than 24hrs since install) lol.wish it sat taller but ill work that out with the next pack.
