More terminology

I had a lady say her car was making a strange noise. I asked if she could elaborate exactly where its coming from, when it happens etc. She said it constant as soon as she gets in the car it beeps. I said is the dome light on or any doors not fully shut? She said the doors are closed and the light is off. So she brought it over. I get in and sure enough it beeps every 20 seconds or so.

I took the cell phone out of the glovebox and handed it to her...

Yes, RED doors or bed is mostly RED so really helps to avoid break downs
RED hood helps the most, better airflow over all with a RED hood

What if I put the red in the inside?

Inside the transmission
Inside bearings and bushings

Plus I like to use red wire

Yeah. Wait. Glyptal paint is red. So red does make gofasts...

We're all red on the inside.

Well the science just shows RED on the outside of vehicles/Rangers helps the most
But couldn't hurt to make the insides RED, but that's more aesthetics than science

And...................."A pints a pound the world around"

Only question that needs to be asked is........."What color is the car/truck?"
If the answer is not RED then you found the problem

Simple solution, paint it RED, then it will run fine....................forever

Now that's science

All Rangers are RED, any other color is just primed waiting for the final coat of RED
So if yours is not RED then it wasn't finished at the factory, try to get your money back :) or paint it RED yourself
And its why Rangers last longer, its because they were all build like a RED vehicle, but without that final coat you can have break downs

Its a Starter "Relay", not solenoid, a starter solenoid is on the starter motor it moves the starter gear in and out, thats what solenoids do they MOVE things, a Relay activates electrical circuits

They are Core Plugs, not Freeze Plugs
Actually on an older Ford the solenoid is on the fender and it sends power to energize the field coils which pull a metal weight down and forces the starter drive out so it meshes with the ring gear. Old guys(older than me) will often call the starter drive a bendix. They both drive the ring gear but they're far from the same thing, a bendix is spinning when it hits the gear and a starter drive engages the gear before the starter spins.

In New England a grinder and a sub are the same thing.

Around here, an oven toasted hoagie is a grinder. If it isn't toasted, it's just a sub or a hoagie.

Pennsylvania is a strange strange place...

No,I'm not going to lecture again about calling Supercabs "extended cabs" or traction lok's "posi's" though it's still happening.
Saying it doesn't run, shift, stop, or work properly won't help anyone diagnose a problem. There are people here who will try to help you given a chance and enough info.
I used to insist my service advisors ask the customers questions that would give the techs useful information:
"Hesitating" means that there is a delay between throttle movement and rpm increase
"skipping or missing" mean that the engine shudders or shakes and is usually more noticeable when the engine is under load
"surging" is when the rpms vary and is often noticed at idle and when trying to maintain a steady low speed
What driving conditions make the problem worse or more severe? High speeds? Low speeds? Uphill? on turns? On bumps? Engine warm or cold? Outside temp? Accelerating?
Are there driving conditions that make the problem less noticeable?
How long has the problem existed and did it happen all at once or gradually worsen?

What else is he hiding in that soap box ??? Looks big enough to hide 1/2 dozen rolls of TP !

My old 83 Ranger had a bendix on it. I rebuilt that thing twice before I finally got a new on.
