More terminology

just cover it in hair... problem solved

and hold the bread...

You can still have sex with a hairy breadless sandwich...

And while we are at it "It doesn't turn over" means you hit the key and the engine doesn't move, it doesn't mean that the starter spins the engine but the engine doesn't start.
That one really grinds my gears....
“It will crank and crank, but just won’t turn over.”

The problem is people say "Crank the car" when they mean "Start the car" so when asked "will it crank over", "starting" is what they think of. So it "will not crank" and "will not turn over" appear to mean different things to different people. I think it depends on how much the person knows about engines. Most people don't know what a crank shaft is. So to them "turning the crank" means "turn ignition key" and have no idea that you can turn the crank with a wrench or socket. Most times I literally have to make the Rrrr Rrr Rrrr_ sound of a car trying to start, to tell them the difference.

Only question that needs to be asked is........."What color is the car/truck?"
If the answer is not RED then you found the problem

Simple solution, paint it RED, then it will run fine....................forever

Now that's science

All Rangers are RED, any other color is just primed waiting for the final coat of RED
So if yours is not RED then it wasn't finished at the factory, try to get your money back :) or paint it RED yourself
And its why Rangers last longer, its because they were all build like a RED vehicle, but without that final coat you can have break downs

Its a Starter "Relay", not solenoid, a starter solenoid is on the starter motor it moves the starter gear in and out, thats what solenoids do they MOVE things, a Relay activates electrical circuits

They are Core Plugs, not Freeze Plugs

Isn’t it fun?

... or at least interesting.

Put an engine in a full size Transit. If you don't want to kill the designer and eat their first born as revenge for that stupid design you are a better person than me.

I’ve got minions for that.

But if you attach the moving part of the solenoid to one or more sets of electrical contacts, you have...

A relay!

My doors are red, does that count??

I deal with this on a daily. Customers give VAGUE description of issue and is not even close to the actual problem. I am about the only one who goes out to the vehicle or camper and physically see what the heck they are trying to describe which 90% of the time I am glad I did because if I wrote down what they tell me then it would not have got fixed. We get this scenario at least once a week:

"I had my camper there in your shop last year because my a/c didn't work and now my fridge doesn't work. What did you guys do because it worked fine before you touched it" It's always that "it was fine before you...…" when in reality we never did anything to anything.

"my rv got a flat tire after leaving your shop, who do I send the bill to?"...………."Well you took it somewhere else to have it fixed without bringing it up to us. We would have looked at it for free and fixed it so we are not paying the bill"...……… "You expect me to drive all the way back there for that?"...………….."I see on our computer you are just in the next town over so its only 20-30 minutes"...……..hangs up.

"You guys charge $70 to dewinterize my camper? all you do is put water through it"...………. "Well you can do it yourself for free if you'd like"...…………"No I can't, i'm afraid i'll mess something up"...……."so you can either pay us to do it right or do it yourself for free and hope you did it right."

I can keep going but you get the idea..... I ask myself once a week why the heck i'm in the customer service business..... I don't think i'm very much of a people person.

Yes, RED doors or bed is mostly RED so really helps to avoid break downs
RED hood helps the most, better airflow over all with a RED hood
